Merrie Raine :)

Monkey Update:

How Far Along: 35 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby Center says, 18 inches and5 1/2 pounds
Maternity Clothes: long shirts and my belly band
Gender: Girl - Meredith Raine  - Although we've been debating on Lorraine now, instead of Raine
Movement: She's slowed down a bit, but still very active.  I like to watch my stomach do rolls :)
What I miss: Good night's sleep
What I'm enjoying: Estimating when she'll arrive
Symptoms: Lots of potty time, fatigue (again) - Braxton Hicks (at least that's what I'm assuming)
Cravings: None really - McDonald's Sweat Tea maybe
Exciting Moments: Putting the car seat in the car.  Just making sure we have everything ready...we're set except for diapers

Labor Fears:
I know this is normal, but my worst fear right now is that I'll go into labor and not know it.  I've read up on all of the symptoms and clues and such and in my head I know what to look for.  The problem comes from this huge pain tolerance that I have and the long drive to the hospital.  I'm afraid I won't know I'm in labor until it's time to push and we're out of time to drive an hour to the hospital.  I've been having cramps (sorry if TMI) and I think Braxton Hicks, but I'm not sure.  Hopefully, the baby holds out until she's ready to come and I know what I'm feeling by then :/
We'll see...according to Thomas, I have until October 3rd to figure this all out.

Monkey Update

I figured, I'm back, I have a couple minutes, might as well update this thing.

Monkey Update:
How Far Along: 28 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby Center says, 15.5 inches and 2 poundsMaternity Clothes: long shirts and my belly bandGender: Girl - Meredith Raine (pretty sure that's not a secret anymore)Movement: Not as much as I'd life, but I can see it on the outside.  She makes my whole stomach move sometimes. What I miss: Good night's sleep, not having to go to the bathroom every 1 1/2
What I'm enjoying: Being lazy, swimming cause it's the only time I can be on my stomach
Symptoms: Lots of potty time, fatigue (again)Cravings: Yesterday I wanted White Cheddar popcorm
Exciting Moments: The first time she moved and I felt it with my hand, I about freaked out.

I'm home again, and I won't see anyone from my family until October when my mom comes down.  Not sure when I'll see everyone else again.  Babies take money, and ours is in short supply.  But it was great to see family and visit with my friends.  Now I have 3 weeks, before school starts :)

Kicking and Punching

We went to see Transformers the other night, and all I could do was pay attention to the newest phenomenon going on with my body.  Enough that, I didn't even realize the main bad-guy was Megatron...go figure.

Monkey - AKA Meredith Raine for those who don't know - has decided that just my feeling her isn't enough anymore and has started actually making my stomach move.  It's AWESOME!!  I literally thought I was going to cry.  I think it's the coolest thing when something you have no control over, yet is still a part of you, starts doing things on it's own.  Yeah for my little independent child!

In other news - Michigan is muggy and hot...but I wouldn't trade being with my family for anything.  We went bowling the other night and it was really fun watching my dad bowl on a team with 4 girls (3 under 4).  He does a great job with them!  Today the clan is going to Lake Michigan, and apparently I'm so excited, Monkey decided I didn't need to sleep.  I've been up since 6:30 :(  I have No-Bakes and a well updated facebook page to prove I was at least productive.

The only thing I regret is that we haven't spent much time with Thomas' family (not really on purpose).  Hopefully we'll get over there a couple times this week.  I have other friends I need to meet up with as well and a long awaited dinner with my parents this week.  YEAH!!

My Little Monkey

We found out last week we're having a girl!!  This will be the 6th granddaughter for my parents, but the FIRST for my in-laws (after 5 boys).  My mother-in-law was extremely excited, she's ready to buy frilly clothes!  But my 10 yr old sister is pretty disappointed, she was ready for a nephew.

We have decided on a name, but it's a secret :)  You're going to have to wait.

The baby is extremely active, and I feel her moving probably a million times a day.  We've dubbed her the monkey, because if she takes after her father, that's pretty much how she'll act.  As excited as I am about meeting her, I'm a little scared I'm going to have to figure out a way to baby proof the ceiling :)

In other news, I have transferred my very weather-conscience body from the dry-heat of Southern Arizona to the humidity-rampant air of Southern Michigan.  Not sure what I was thinking, other than missing my family.  Fortunately, I have an amazing husband who is dealing with the crazy weather as well, just for me :)  It has rained consistently since we arrived, in fact, our plane was 2 hours late due to a storm in Detroit!  I've missed the rain, but would like to see sunny skies!  Crazy weather is one of the main reasons we moved to AZ to begin with, amazing that I would visit during one of the most weather crazy times in the state.  Although, this does beat snow.

Our schedule for this visit includes: a baby shower (thrown by my sister), a wedding, a Lugnuts baseball game with my youngest brother's 7th grade, 2 family reunions, a trip to Lake Michigan and lots of ice cream :)  Hopefully, I won't forget anyone during our visit, but that always proves futile.  So if I don't get to see you, I'm apologizing ahead of time.

Once I figure out how to put pictures on here, I'll load shower pics...until then...

Baby Update

I'm 23 weeks now and FINALLY showing a little.  I'm still not sure how there is a human being the size of a large mango inside of me, cause my stomach isn't that big, but he/she's there.

This mango is very active, although, honestly that's not much of a surprise, giving that both parents are energetic as well.  My prayer is that the baby doesn't develop ADD, like his father or undiagnosed like I claim for myself.

Thomas felt the baby for the first time yesterday :) which is fantastic.  His face was amazing, it's been a blessing to see my husband grow these past couple month. I've been feeling the baby for about 4 weeks now.

I don't have cravings and find it hard to eat, because my appetite is actually not growing.  I find this a mixed blessing.  Mixed because it means I'm not gaining weight, but could be bad because lack of nutrition causes premature labor at times.  The doctor doesn't seem worried yet, so I'm not either.

I don't have stretch marks yet, I don't have swollen ankles yet, but I do sleep an average of about 12 hours a day (in the form of 4 hour naps between bathroom breaks).  With school done,  hopefully I can get more done around this tiny house before school starts again and the baby comes!!
